Uncovering the rich history of Seattle's LGBTQIA community.
Queer Seattle History is dedicated to preserving, honoring, and sharing the stories of our LGBTQIA+ community.
Our mission centers on documenting the experiences, memories, and wisdom of our eldest community members and the leaders who shaped Seattle’s queer history. At the same time, we value and welcome stories from every corner of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum—because every voice adds to the richness of our collective narrative.
Currently operating as a video-based storytelling project, we aim to uplift personal histories, celebrate resilience, and create a space where queer stories can be seen, heard, and remembered.
If you would like to be interviewed, know someone whose story deserves to be captured, or simply want to learn more, please reach out to us—we would love to connect.
We also provide community resource pages to help support, guide, and empower LGBTQIA+ individuals across Seattle and beyond.
Every story matters. Every story deserves to be told.
